The Tamarisk 50th Anniversary Celebration will be the BEST! Come on Saturday, September 16th, 3:00-8:00 pm to Tamarisk Park. Bring your family, graduates, and invite former residents for a wonderful evening. It will be a pot luck with family activities from 3:00-6:00. From 6:00 to 7:00 we will have contra and group dances and from 7:00-8:00 music from the 50's, 60's and 70's and through the decades. The Dangling Participles will provide the music with guitars, mandolin, bass and a fiddler. They have a caller and it will be special night for the whole family. Included will be a dedication of a Little Free Library for our neighborhood.

Watch for further updates about what to bring for the pot luck and other details. Loan Items Needed: let us know if you can help by loaning a personal canopy or table. Questions, see or contact Julie Bryce at 517-351-9523 or rijubryce@comcast.net. For those on Facebook, you may visit this site: Tamarisk 50th Anniversary Celebration.

Major Street Project on North Harrison Road
A major street project will begin on North Harrison Road, between Saginaw Street and Lake Lansing Road, on Monday, June 20. The project is slated for completion by Aug. 19. In order to expedite the work and meet the completion date, the road will be closed to traffic for the duration of the project. Local traffic will be maintained to the extent possible; however, motorists are expected to seek alternate routes if they are able. The City and contractor will be working closely with those residents who have driveways off of Harrison Road. The signed detour will direct northbound Harrison Road traffic to take Saginaw Street east to Abbot Road and head north on Abbot Road to Lake Lansing Road. Be a Good Neighbor: No Noise or Speeding
With warmer weather and later daylight, we’re all able to enjoy more time outside. Remember, however, to be considerate of your neighbors. Common courtesy, as well as City ordinance, prohibits noise (such as lawn work or construction work) after 9 pm. Remind your contracted service workers of these rules, too. Also, on all our neighborhood streets (except Harrison Rd) the speed limit is 25 mph. Speeding is both dangerous to pedestrians and noisy. Please be a good neighbor.
