Posted on: March 13, 2017[ARCHIVED] Community Meeting to discuss Bailey Park
On Thursday, March 16, the City of East Lansing Department of Parks,
Recreation and Arts will be hosting a Community Meeting to discuss Bailey
Park. The meeting with be held at 7:00 PM in the Banquet Hall at the East
Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road and we would like to
invite you to attend.
The purpose of the meeting is to identify the community's priorities related to
potential park improvements. Several pieces of play equipment in Bailey Park
were impacted by the conversion of the Bailey Community Center into housing
units. Limited funds are available to invest in park improvements to offset the
impacts. During this meeting, staff from LAP+Creative will lead those present in
a facilitated discussion to identify community interests and priorities for Bailey
Park. Your participation in this process is welcome.
