Many homeowners have expressed their interest in limiting rental units in the Hawk Nest Community. In light of these feelings, the HNHOA has filed to be able to petition with the City of East Lansing for a Residential Rental Restriction Overlay. This would limit rentals to either "House Sitting" (limited to 2 years in a 5 year period) or Class 1 rentals (where the owner remains in the home during the rental period). To be able to petition the City Council, we must obtain signatures from 2/3 of the homeowners in the Hawk Nest community within 6 months.
