History

Tamarisk was developed by Jerome Fine in the late 1960s. Most of the homes were built between 1967 and 1969. The park at the center of the neighborhood provides a focal point for the young to play and for all to gather. The Neighborhood Association was organized in 1969. There have been a variety of activities and events over the years. The annual Halloween Parade has been the one consistent event, year after year.
