Tree lined streets? Oh yeah, we've got them. In every season the walker finds scenes to delight. These photos are a random representation. If you don't see your house or garden it's nothing personal. I wish I could have captured all of the varied flower beds and landscaping. Thank you all for making our neighborhood so lovely.
The leaves held off until November; then there was a small snowfall, but the crews finally came and took on the leaf piles.
This is a great neighborhood for those who like to attract wildlife to their yard. Each yard draws a unique crowd, so it's hard to generalize. We look forward to pictures from your yards as we get this sight running smoothly. 2014 brought some new birds to the neighborhood in the early spring. Just when you think you've seen everything there is to see, something new flies in.
With the improving weather, I'm sure you'll soon be taking a daily walk again. How many of these can you locate? Almost every time I walk I notice something I've missed before. Your submissions are welcome, as are suggestions for making this treasure hunt more user friendly. I have not yet updated this for 2015. Some things have moved, some have vanished, and new things have been added. Keep your eyes open to find your own treasures.
The December Ice Storm of 2013: big snow of early January, followed by big freeze, more snow and cold, a 2-day "thaw," and below normal temps well into March. Something we want to remember, but it will be a holiday we won't forget.
